Removal in a Single Day

Flooring Removal in DFW

The DFW flooring removal company homeowners and contractors call first — hardwood, vinyl, laminate, and carpet pulled cleanly, often the same day.

The DFW Flooring Removal Company That Leaves It Install-Ready

Before new floors go in, the old ones have to come out. As a dedicated flooring removal company serving the entire DFW metroplex, Dust Kingz removes hardwood, engineered wood, vinyl plank, sheet vinyl, laminate, and carpet — efficiently, cleanly, and with the same dust-conscious approach we bring to our signature tile and stone work.

What We Handle

  • Carpet & padding: rolled, bagged, and hauled off the same day
  • Hardwood & engineered wood: nails pulled, substrate left ready for new install
  • Vinyl plank, sheet vinyl & LVT: full removal including adhesive and underlayment
  • Laminate: floating and glued — pulled cleanly
  • Tile, thinset & mortar bed: our dustless signature

Why Homeowners Call Us First

Most flooring removal jobs in DFW are completed the same day. We protect adjacent rooms, baseboards (on request), and your HVAC system from debris — and we leave the space ready for your installer to start the next morning.

Our Flooring Removal Process

1. Walk the space. We identify the floor type, substrate (slab, plywood, OSB), adhesive type, and any transitions. That tells us exactly which tools and how long.

2. Protect what stays. Cabinetry corners get padding, adjacent rooms get plastic, HVAC returns in the work zone get sealed, and we lay a clean path from the work area to the truck.

3. Pull the floor. Carpet and pad rolled and bagged; hardwood pried and stacked; vinyl plank and LVT scraped (we keep the dust contained with HEPA capture); laminate floated up; tile and thinset down to clean substrate.

4. Substrate clean. Staples, tack strips, nails, glue, and underlayment all pulled or scraped. Final HEPA-vacuum pass. The slab or subfloor is left flat, swept, and install-ready.

5. Haul-off & walk-through. Debris bagged and trucked out the same day. We walk the job with you before we leave so there are no surprises.

Floor Types We Pull Every Week in DFW

Carpet and pad (the easy one); 20- and 30-year-old hardwood nailed into plywood; engineered wood glued to slab; floating laminate from the Pergo era; glue-down sheet vinyl with stubborn pressure-sensitive adhesive; LVT and LVP click systems; ceramic and porcelain tile down to a clean slab (our dustless signature); travertine and natural stone with thinset and mortar bed.

Whatever's down there, we have the right tool and the right process. The next morning your installer walks into a clean, prepped substrate — not a punch list.

Flooring Removal FAQ

How long does flooring removal take?
Most DFW homes (1,500–3,000 sq ft) are completed in a single day. Larger whole-home jobs or tougher materials like glue-down hardwood or asbestos-era VCT may take two days. We give you a firm timeline before we start.
Will the substrate be ready for new flooring?
Yes. We remove staples, tack strips, nails, glue, and underlayment so your installer can come in the next morning. No surprise prep work added to your install bid.
Do you remove glued-down vinyl plank and LVT?
Yes — including the stubborn pressure-sensitive adhesive underneath. We have the right scrapers and grinders for it, and the HEPA capture to keep the dust from spreading.
Can you save the baseboards?
On request, yes. Just tell us during the estimate. We'll score the caulk, pull baseboards carefully, and label them by wall so they go right back where they came from.
What about pet stains and odor in the subfloor?
We can flag any subfloor damage we find and recommend a sealing or treatment step before new flooring goes down. If you want us to handle it, we'll quote it as a line item.
Do you serve my city in DFW?
We serve the entire metroplex — Fort Worth, Dallas, Southlake, Grapevine, Colleyville, Keller, North Richland Hills, Westlake, Irving, Bedford, and surrounding communities.
