Renovate Cleaner, Safer, and Smarter
At Dust Kingz, we specialize in dustless tile and stone removal that keeps your home clean and your family safe. Whether you're replacing floors, countertops, backsplashes, or fireplace surrounds, our innovative techniques minimize dust, reduce cleanup, and allow your renovation to progress smoothly.
The Hidden Dangers of Traditional Tile & Stone Removal
Conventional tile and stone demolition produces dust that often contains crystalline silica, a fine particle that can linger in the air and on surfaces. Exposure to silica dust can contribute to:
- Lung disease and silicosis
- Respiratory irritation
- Long-term health complications
With traditional methods, this dust can settle throughout your home, making cleanup difficult and posing ongoing risks to your indoor air quality.
Why Choose Dustless Removal?
Advanced Dust-Control Technology. Our specialized equipment captures dust at the source — keeping particulate matter out of your air, your HVAC, and your living space.
Faster Project Turnaround. Less cleanup means your contractors can install new flooring or finishes sooner.
Healthier Indoor Environment. Protect children, pets, and anyone with respiratory sensitivities from silica exposure.
Protects Your Belongings. No fine dust coating furniture, electronics, cabinetry, or HVAC vents.
Surfaces We Remove
- Ceramic and porcelain tile (floors, walls, showers, backsplashes)
- Natural stone (travertine, marble, granite, slate)
- Stone countertops and fireplace surrounds
- Thinset, mortar bed, and underlayment
Our Dustless Removal Process
1. Free on-site estimate. We walk the space with you, measure square footage, identify the substrate, and flag anything tricky (radiant heat, asbestos-era mastic, structural slab issues). You get a written quote — usually the same day.
2. Containment & protection. Before the first hammer swings, we mask off doorways with plastic, cover adjacent flooring and cabinetry, seal HVAC returns in the work zone, and stage our HEPA equipment. Your home is protected before we ever start the demo.
3. Dustless removal at the source. Our chipping hammers and edge grinders are paired with shroud attachments and HEPA vacuums that capture silica dust at the cut. The work zone stays clear, and the rest of the home stays livable.
4. Substrate prep. We pull every screw, nail, and tack strip; grind down stubborn thinset; and leave a flat, clean surface ready for whatever's going back down. No surprise scope creep for your installer.
5. Clean haul-off. All debris is bagged, hauled to the truck through protected pathways, and disposed of properly. We do a final HEPA-vacuum pass, pull the containment, and walk the job with you before we leave.
Why DFW Homeowners Choose Dust Kingz
Most DFW homes are built on slab, with HVAC returns at floor level — exactly the conditions that turn a normal tile demo into a months-long dust cleanup. We've built our entire process around this. Designers, GCs, and homeowners across Fort Worth, Dallas, Southlake, Grapevine, Colleyville, Keller, and the rest of the metroplex call us first because the demo step stops being the dirty, disruptive part of the renovation.
Whether it's a 100-sq-ft master bath or 3,500 sq ft of whole-home travertine, the standard is the same: contained, captured, and cleaned before we hand the space to the next trade.
Dustless Tile Removal FAQ
- How does dustless tile removal actually work?
- We attach HEPA-filtered vacuum shrouds directly to our chipping hammers and grinders. As tile, thinset, and stone are broken loose, the airborne dust is captured at the point of contact — typically 95%+ before it can spread into your home.
- Is dustless removal really dust-free?
- No method is 100% dust-free, but our system captures the vast majority of silica and fine particulate at the source. The difference between traditional demo and our process is dramatic — most homeowners are surprised at how clean the space looks when we finish.
- Can I stay in my home while you work?
- Yes, in nearly every case. The work zone is contained with plastic and negative-air containment when needed, and the HEPA capture keeps the rest of the home livable. Kids, pets, and people with respiratory sensitivities are safe in adjacent rooms.
- Do you remove the thinset and mortar bed too?
- Yes. Standard practice for us — we take the substrate down flat and ready for whatever's going back in (new tile, LVP, hardwood, polished concrete). No surprise change orders for your installer.
- How much does dustless tile removal cost in DFW?
- Pricing depends on square footage, substrate type (slab vs. wood subfloor), and access. Most residential jobs fall in a predictable per-square-foot range — we provide free written estimates, usually within one business day.
