DFW Flooring Removal Service Area Guide
7 min read
Dust Kingz is based in North Richland Hills and runs dust-controlled tile, stone, and flooring removal across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. This guide explains where we work, how the area you're in usually affects the job, and what to expect on scheduling and access.
Where we work in DFW
Our service area covers Tarrant, Dallas, Denton, and Collin counties. The cities below have dedicated pages — every other DFW city is still in our area. If you don't see your city, call: it's almost always a yes.

How service varies by area
The job itself is the same everywhere — HEPA source-capture demo, contained work zone, clean substrate at handoff. What changes by area is what's typically under the surface.
- Mid-Cities & older Tarrant County homes: often mortar-bed tile, 1970s–80s slab construction, occasional asbestos-suspect mastic in pre-1985 builds.
- Frisco, Prosper, McKinney newer builds: thin-set porcelain over slab, engineered hardwood, LVP. Removal is faster but substrate prep still matters.
- Plano & Richardson: a mix — 1990s two-stories with mortar-bed master baths, newer LVP retrofits over slab.
- Dallas & Irving urban infill: tight access, HOA staging rules, occupied units where dust control isn't optional.
- Lake-area homes (Grapevine, Flower Mound, Highland Shores): typically larger floor plans, multi-room scopes, designer-led remodels.
Scheduling across the metroplex
- Residential tile and flooring removal — usually same-week start anywhere in DFW.
- Whole-home flooring removal — scheduled around the GC's timeline; we slot in like any other trade.
- Commercial & tenant improvement — after-hours and weekend work is available across the metroplex.
- Travel is not a separate charge inside our coverage area.
What to expect on a quote visit
A free on-site walk takes 15–30 minutes for a typical residential scope. We measure square footage, identify the substrate, flag anything unusual (radiant heat, slab cracks, asbestos-suspect material, structural questions), and send a written, fixed-scope estimate — usually same day.
